Flaming River Con announces 2023 event dates

(LAKEWOOD - Aug. 13, 2023) Flaming River Con, the Midwest’s first queer geek convention, will bring LGBTQIA+ nerds and allies together for this year’s event September 16, 2023, at The Fieldhouse Gymnasium at Studio West 117.

Those planning to attend should save the date and watch for additional information on the upcoming donation-only admission event, including information on how to register to attend expert panels or take part in workshops. It will also provide spaces to connect and game with other queer nerds and check out community vendors.

“We’re looking forward to a great convention this year and bringing queer people together to enjoy their fandom in a safe space on Sept. 16,” says Britt Orcutt, president. “We’ll be ready soon to make announcements about this year’s lineup of speakers and presentations, celebrating nerds in the queer community.”

FRC is run by Flaming River Arts Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit based in Cleveland, Ohio. Its mission is to foster, showcase and celebrate LGBTQIA+ voices and the community, and to combat bigotry by increasing the visibility of marginalized persons within geek culture. FRA focuses on providing safe spaces for people of all ages and identities to explore, network, engage and enjoy queer culture.
